• Fun Fact: Hyeran Jeon is an Assistant Professor in the department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of California Merced. She is running MoCA Lab, which aims to improve energy efficiency, security, and reliability of computer architecture and systems. She is a recipient of NSF CAREER award.

• Reason for Joining the Team: "Jeon is especially excited to be involved in this project because the wood waste collecting robot is a good real-life use case, where energy efficiency is critical to accomplish the mission given the limited battery lifetime. She and her team will research various ways to redesign computing components of the robot to enlengthen the battery lifetime."
